Purchase Code Not Working?

This guide covers common issues related to purchase code activation. You can follow the steps to resolve them yourself, or contact us for further assistance if needed.

Important Note: Each purchase code can only be activated on one domain at a time. If you attempt to activate it on a second domain, the activation will fail—this is not a bug. To use the theme on another domain, you have two options:

1. Purchase an additional license for the new domain.

2. Deactivate the license from the previous domain. Please note that deactivating the license on the old domain will disable all features and functionality on that site.

Why Deactivate? How to Deactivate Your License?

If you installed the theme on a test domain or localhost during the website development process, and you're now ready to move your site to the official domain, you'll need to deactivate the license on the old domain before activating it on the new one.

To do this, go to Admin → Rising Bamboo → Theme License, then click the “Deactivate Now” button. Once deactivated, your purchase code can be activated on your new domain.

What if you've already deleted the old source code and forgot to deactivate the license? If you're reinstalling the theme on the same domain, your license should activate without any issues. However, if you’re switching to a different domain, please contact us so we can manually deactivate the old license on our system.

Common Error Messages When Activating Your License

This error occurs when your license has already been activated on another domain and has not been deactivated. To activate the license on a new domain, you must first deactivate it from the previous domain or source.

If you’ve already deleted the old source and can’t access the original installation, please contact us for assistance in deactivating it from our system.

Important: Deactivation requests must be submitted by the account that owns the purchase code. We do not accept requests from third parties or accounts not associated with the original purchase.

This error usually indicates that your server is unable to connect to the Rising Bamboo API.

Our API server is hosted in Singapore, and it's possible that your server or hosting provider is blocking connections to Singapore or other Asian regions. Please check your server's firewall or network settings and make sure these connections are not blocked.

Some high-security hosting or server providers may block all external connections by default. In such cases, you'll need to contact your hosting/server provider and request that they allow outbound connections to our API server.

Note: Since this issue is related to your server environment, we can only offer recommendations and are unable to resolve it directly. However, we’re happy to help with further guidance if you need more details.

3 - The Purchase code is invalid. Please check again!

This error is usually caused by formatting issues when entering your purchase code. The most common reason is accidentally copying an extra space at the beginning or end of the code.

Another common mistake is removing the hyphens in the purchase code. For example, a valid code like abcd-edf-xyz should not be entered as abcdedfxyz. This formatting change will result in an invalid code.

We recommend double-checking your purchase code and ensuring it’s copied exactly as provided—including all hyphens and without any extra spaces.
